Impounds

Vehicles can be picked up:
Monday through Friday from 9:00am – 5:00pm
Saturday and Sunday:  Offices are closed

Only the registered owner may retrieve the vehicle and any personal property from the impounded vehicle. Such items are limited to medication, perishable items, children’s safety devices and tools of the trade (unless special circumstances are cleared in advance).

Call ahead to make sure your vehicle is available to be picked up and  you will need a vehicle release slip from the Redford Township Police Department before you can pick up your vehicle.

• Bring valid I.D. (Driver’s License)
• Bring proof of ownership (valid title/registration)
• Bring insurance claim number.  If the vehicle has no insurance, all fees are to be paid by owner.
• Bring release slip from the Redford Twp Police Department, May be $60.00 charge Cash Only.
• Only the owner may retrieve personal items from vehicle.
• Call ahead to make sure your vehicle is available to be picked up.

There may be an additional charge for jump starts, tire inflation, etc.
